Crows Nest Uniting Hall, 5-7pm on a Wednesday afternoons, during the school term

1st Crows Nest Girls Brigade is a faith based, uniformed group who meets every Wednesday during the school (2nd Wednesday of 1st term) term, 5-7pm. We have been operating since August 1994, for most of the that time from the Crows Nest Uniting church hall.

Our program caters for a wide range of age groups &  is based on the school year with each section as follows – Cadets Prep- gr 2, Juniors grades 3-5, Seniors grades 6-8 & Pioneers year 9 – 12.

Each week we complete work that goes toward the badges the girls receive at the end of the year. There is also an optional service award badge that they receive if the girls arrive each week in uniform, complete church studies or attend church & attend at least half of the organised outings for the year.

Our routine for each week although it can from time to time vary slightly is as follows- we open with singing & devotions, then move on to our badge work activities either in our individual sections or as a whole company – ranging from cooking & craft, to games or out & about in the community, play games that promote fun & teamwork, closing at the end of the night with parade where we talk about our afternoon & any announcements or birthdays are made.
